Outsider Dancing
Outsider Dancing is a new series of performance events bringing together exceptional artists and companies working at the edges and margins of independent dance. Through improvisation, experimentation and the exploration of dance’s interaction with visual and live art, Outsider Dancing offers audiences the chance to witness some of independent dance’s more maverick performers together on one stage.
This first Outsider Dancing event features live works by Kate Brown, Intimate Contenders, Joe Moran and Carolyn Roy, recorded works by Rebecca Skelton, and a reconstruction of Yvonne Rainer’s seminal ‘Chair/Pillow’ by Claire Henderson Davies, alongside a video installation and music in the bar.
Outsider Dancing is a Falling Wide event curated by Joe Moran.
