Station House Opera’s Winter School workshop for New Territories 2008 explores performance ideas stimulated by an impossible question: what is it like to be mindless?

Taking as its starting point one of the central concerns of the company's new performance project, Mind Out, the workshop week will be led by artistic director Julian Maynard Smith and collaborator Susannah Hart, focusing on how to separate the character or mind from the material that creates it, the performer.

In addition to Station House Opera, the New Territories Winter School 2008 mentors are Guillermo Gómez-Peña & Roberto Sifuentes, Marilyn Arsem and Goat Island.
