On the Fringe

Cindy will be performing On the Fringe as part of Oral History/Theatre History: Past – Present – Future, a conference by the Society for Theatre Research and Rose Bruford College.

In 2009 the Society for Theatre Research commissioned a survey of the range of oral history projects looking at theatre and performance. That survey raised a range of issues from how the discoveries of these projects are made accessible and disseminated, to the ethics of how projects are conducted and their findings used; from preserving earlier recorded material to creating databases and catalogues of oral history resources across the field. These issues, along with the practicalities and technical issues of how to set up, fund and run a project, now form the basis of the conference Oral History/ Theatre History.

An exhibition of material including items from the archives of Clive Barker, Noel Greig and others from Rose Bruford College Special Collections
The launch of phase 1 of the Unfinished Histories

Along with book and information stalls there will also be the opportunity to hear and see extracts from a variety of other theatre-based oral history projects.
