Plane Food Cafe
Richard DeDomenici
Richard DeDomenici’s pop-up installation performance Plane Food Cafe makes its first journey in 2010 as part of this year’s Napoli Teatro Festival.
Envisioned as a green alternative to flight, Plane Food Cafe invites its audience into a recycled airplane cabin to sample genuine plane food delivered from the local airport, and Richard’s own individual interpretation of in-flight entertainment. In Napoli the performance will take place in English and Italian and the cabin crew will include the well-known Italian film actress Monica Nappo.
We ate, we learned, we laughed and then emerged quite sure that flying in real aerospace is a Bad Thing, but a short hop with DeDomenici Airlines is a Good Thing. This unique lecture/dining/installation method makes you belch, think and laugh all at the same time. Londonist
