Museum of Water Artist’s Talk
7.30pm. Free.
Amy Sharrocks has spent the last year gathering a collection of water for future generations to enjoy. The Museum of Water collection of publicly donated water and accompanying stories already has over 200 bottles including water from a holy river in India, a burst London water main, a melted snowman, a new born baby’s bathwater, Norwegian spit, three types of wee, two different breaths and water from a bedside table said to be infused with dreams. The interactive artwork will continue to grow at various sites in the UK and beyond throughout 2014.
Join Amy at Toynbee Studios to hear her talk about the ideas behind the project, the water that she has collected and the stories that people have shared. Amy will be collecting donations throughout the evening so please bring some water that is precious to you in a glass container of your choosing and she will archive it for you.
There will also be a chance to donate to the museum on 22 March at Somerset House.
