Artists’ Bursary Scheme Surgery
Applications are now open for the 2014 Artists’ Bursary Scheme. We are looking to support up to seven artists from July 2014 – December 2015.
The Artsadmin Bursary Scheme supports artistic experiment, risk, speculation and play, rather than the production or touring of finished work. It offers time to explore processes and try out new ideas within a framework of constructive and critical dialogue. Artsadmin’s intention is to offer timely support to artists working in Live Art who would value a period to delve into the new, without pressure to produce a final result. The bursary is not a commission or production grant but a package of support oriented towards research and process that can be used flexibly according to each artist’s needs.
These group surgeries will be an opportunity to find out more about the scheme and what’s on offer. Artsadmin’s advisory team will be offering an overview and answering questions on the application process and the experience of past bursary artists.
Spaces are limited so we recommend booking in advance through firstname.lastname@example.org for the surgeries at Toynbee Studios. We’re not taking advance booking for the session at BUZZCUT.
The first session will be audio recorded and available through Artsadmin’s website from mid – April.
