Ah-Be (In the Direction of a Rose)

This event will be rescheduled as, due to the complexity and scale of the project, Sara Zaltash has decided to postpone her walk until March 2018.

From 21 March 2017 until 15 October 2018, British-Iranian performance artist Sara Zaltash will walk from the source of the River Thames, along the waterways of Europe and the Caucasus to Tehran in order to deliver her one true love to her grandmother, broadcasting the sound of the journey continuously on a live 24/7 hour signal.

Join Sara and those who have shaped Ah-Be for an evening of performances, talks and songs. All donations will go to OMID Foundation who work with abused and vulnerable women and young girls in Iran.

An heroic artwork that widens the spectrum of hope for a world in crisis, Ah-Be (in the direction of a rose) is executively produced by MAYK, and supported by UN Hydrocity, British Council, Arts Council England, Schumacher Institute, Watershed, Flora Family Foundation, Tides Foundation and Connexions Capital.
