“Tim Spooner appears to only follow the logical flow of the material as it transforms, he offers us a unique, strange and powerful universe.”
– Renaud Herbin, Director, TJP-Strasbourg

The Voice of Nature is a fragile interconnected system of nervous sculptures – a microcosm of our chaotic world. In the arena, with the operator on the periphery, pink expanses quiver, tears of thick liquid descend slowly, long-legged structures tremble towards collapse, and a cuddly animal whispers a fragmented commentary.

The Voice of Nature continues in the vein of Tim Spooner's previous performed sculptures, in which materials, objects and forces interact and their physical qualities pushed to breaking point.  In the piece a mesmerising fragility and tension develop which is at once delicate and violent, intense and absurd
