Dominoes

Station House Opera

Norfolk and Norwich Festival 2022. Dominoes. Photo by James Bass

This Sunday, Station House Opera's Dominoes finally make their way through East London on their long journey. With thousands of concrete block dominoes, hundreds of volunteers and a group of performers, the dominoes will wend their way southwards through parks, across streets and even down a canal and onto the river. Here's a quick guide to where you can find the blocks along the route: 3.30pm – Journey begins in Mile End Park and runs through Matt's Gallery (42-44 Copperfield Road, London, E3 4RR) before the dominoes board a boat on Regent's Canal.
6.30pm – The boat docks and the dominoes travel to Island Gardens, pausing for a performance installation 'picnic'.
8.30pm – The dominoes continue, crossing under the River Thames through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel.
8.45pm – The dominoes arrive at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich for the final performance. Visit the Dominoes website for a full map of the route: www.dominoes2009.com
