Caroline Wright

Caroline Wright is an artist based in the East of England who has been making work nationally and internationally for the past twelve years. Her practice spans visual and performance work that is often socially engaged and site-specific, taking place on beaches, in swimming pools, beach-huts, observation towers and uninhabited islands. Her work includes Out of Water on Holkham Beach for London 2012; On Tides And Fathoms, a film triptych with accompanying volume of poetry; Temporal performance and exhibition for Cambridge University Judge Business School; My Home is My Museum, bespoke performances for small audiences in Cambridge sitting rooms; and Impossible Changeling, a gilded beach hut with a ten day public pebble hunt to find gilded pebbles on the beach at dawn. Wright will be a doctoral candidate at the Royal College of Art from autumn 2019.
