Welcome to new Executive Director, Deborah Chadbourn
We are very pleased to announce that Deborah Chadbourn joins Artsadmin as the new Executive Director, succeeding Gill Lloyd MBE after 33 years.
Deborah has been Executive Director at Music in the Round in Sheffield since 2010. She has over 30 years’ experience as both a manager and producer of pioneering artists and companies, including DV8 Physical Theatre, Danceworks and Bow Gamelan Ensemble, and was a founder member of Forced Entertainment.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Artsadmin in the run-up to its 40th anniversary in 2019. Through its support of artists and its space for exploration, process and presentation, Artsadmin has become a beacon for a kind of arts practice which shows us how looking at the world differently can make a difference to it. It challenges the status quo, offers opportunities for insight and empathy, makes space for creativity and fosters a sense of community. I share Artsadmin’s values and I look forward to working alongside everyone in the team to support the organisation, and the artists it works with, to flourish.”

“This is a very exciting appointment for Artsadmin. We are delighted to welcome Deborah with her considerable expertise and experience of working in the arts. Artsadmin’s Co-Director Judith Knight MBE and our Board of Trustees very much look forward to working with her to shape the future of the organisation.
We are indebted to Gill Lloyd for the incredible hard work, creativity and dedication she has given our organisation over more than three decades. In collaboration with Judith Knight, she has helped to build Artsadmin into a ground-breaking producing organisation and hub for artists now and for the future.”
