Corinne Felgate

Profile

Corinne Felgate created two pieces for Town Hall Hotel. The first Overachiever takes the form of 100,000 gold stars stuck down and framed, and the second Flim Flam will involve 10 fake plants flocked to disguise into the background of the hotel’s interior.

Corinne Felgate has both Italian and Armenian Heritage. She first studied linguistics at University College London, then later Fine Art at The Slade before completing an MA in Sculpture from Wimbledon College of Art in 2008. She has completed commissions for the National Gallery and has work held in the UK Government Art Collection. In 2011 she was awarded a year-long residency at the Florence Trust. Recent Shows include; Time After at Galerija Kortil, Croatia, Attempts to Get Inside the World at Lewisham Arts House, London and Space Station Zsa Zsa at the Pumphouse Gallery, London. In September 2012 she will be presenting a new, mass sculptural action at Tate Modern as part of Parallel Interventions. Forthcoming exhibitions include, Two Peacocks at Gallery North, Newcastle, Their Wonderlands at MAC (Midlands Arts Centre), Birmingham and Circa 1960 at Guest Projects, London.
