Mariam Turay is a student at London College of Communication who is currently studying Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
Her photography work focuses on the significance of hair in the black community through portraits and still life. Mariam is continuing her studies at LCC and developing her practice concerning identity through photography, installation & video.
Mariam also has a keen interest in Live Art and has been involved in project Artsadmin projects Edgy Centres with Chloe Cooper and Amy Sharrock’s Museum of Water.
