A new work in progress from Tink and Abra Flaherty
Abra: “This utopia that exists around the table in our house doesn’t expand to the rest of life, does it? It doesn’t expand to you getting shit on the streets or me getting followed home by creeps.”
Tink: “Your body used to be a part of me. The closeness of our bodies together was our language. Now I lie at the end of your bed and watch you becoming an adult, and I know you see me changing too.”
Tink Flaherty and their daughter Abra work together on a new piece inspired by their conversations around trans politics, non-normative families and intergenerational queer friendship. The politics that floats easy around the breakfast table can feel heavy beyond the front door. Gen X Gen Z sees Tink and Abra bringing their chats from home to the world outside, finding a new language as they grow and change alongside each other.
