Plagiarismo!
Richard DeDomenici
Plagiarism is passing off someone else's work as your own, yet appropriation is central to all art. Picasso himself said Good artists copy, great artists steal.
Richard DeDomenici strives to untangle this seeming paradox in his new show. Richard cites a rich and eclectic variety of case studies from the music, entertainment and art worlds, encompassing The Pussycat Dolls, Apple Computers and Damien Hirst, as well as his own disputes with News International and the BBC.
Does nobody have any new ideas anymore? Has it all really been done before? Find out in Plagiarismo!
DeDomenici is an excellent example of the best live art has to offer. Clever, tremendously funny, powerfully political… a satirist of the highest order – Sunday Herald
