Alba: Caffè and Event Space

Spaces for hire

Available for private function hire in the evenings and on weekends.

The Alba Caffè in the Artsadmin Canteen is a tranquil setting just off Brick Lane, and a stone’s throw from the City if London.

There are accessible tables and chairs; a range of layouts are available including banquet and cabaret style; and a stage can be set up. The space is ideal for intimate events including drinks receptions, dinner parties or supper clubs.

The Artsadmin Canteen is run by Alba: Caffè and Event Space, who also offer catering and a bar.

  • Toynbee Studios is accessible to wheelchair users.
  • All of our toilets are gender neutral. Fully accessible toilets are located on the ground, first and third floors.
  • In the first floor accessible toilet, there is a wheelchair-accessible shower with a fold-down shower seat and an ergonomic sink that is adjustable in height.
  • In the third floor accessible toilet, the accessible toilet has a shower with a hoist, which is an Opemed OT200c and has safe working weight of 200kg, and a powered nursing bench with safety rail.
  • There is a quiet space on the fourth floor.
  • We welcome guide, hearing, emotional support and assistance dogs. A drinking bowl is located in the café foyer.

All prices exclude VAT
Charity rates apply to charities, not-for-profits and performing arts companies. Regular studio hours are 10am–6pm, Monday–Friday. Hires outside of these hours are subject to additional duty management charges. All bookings are subject to a £30 administration fee. Conferences, public events and filming are possible by negotiation at separate rates.
