The Skin of My Teeth: a three year reflection – video
From 2010 – 2012 Artsadmin commissioned Mark Storor to create a triptych of work that would set up a space and an offer for young and emerging artists to kick start or develop a performance practice.
Over the three years Artsadmin have supported those involved in the Summer Project and worked with film maker Chris Keenan to share the processes and ideas that took place during these August months.
The project took place every August for one month where a group of 12 people where selected to work with Mark for four intense weeks. As part of the commission Mark and the group where never asked to create an outcome but decided to share their experiments and learning to audiences at the end of the month.
In 2012 we also worked with Gill Roberts an established director of a successful theatre company in Scotland who wanted to reflect on her life and practice and how she was going to move forward. Read her response to taking part in The Skin Of My Teeth.
From 2013 – 2015 Artsadmin will be working with Nic Green on Make Space, a project that will look at how young people respond to The City and find space within it to create.
